This week I have been scouting vintage boutiques in the Silicon Valley and, of course, it has been pure delight.

My travels take me to this part of the Bay Area on this trip.  Although I used to live in San Francisco, the Silicon Valley has remained virgin territory for me.  So it’s been neat getting to know it through the vintage shops.  I had no idea there were so many charming old towns in the area.

Old town Los Gatos is really lovely.  If it hadn’t been raining so hard I would have snapped a few more pics for you.  Despite the gloomy light, I did get a few shots of a wonderful shop called Vintages.

This bellissima is just one of a myriad of items of pure loveleyness.  The owners have excellent taste and the world they have created in their shop is one where you could lose yourself as you contemplate the beauty of their objets

Isn’t this pillow scrumptious?  It would be mine if I didn’t already have so much to schelpp back home already.  By the way, the prices are quite good, so you can allow yourself a little indulgence whatever your budget.

Do you have a passion for wrapping gifts?  Me, too.  And so does Vintages, there is too much evidence to not notice.  Lovely lovely ribbons………

…and dancing ladies from another time.

Colorful and stately wrap,

and a nod to 1960’s interior design.

Loved the glittery firecraker ribbon.

Here’s some beautiful handiwork.

A nifty idea for your skeleton keys.

They also have a number of handmade crafts – all beautifully made.  They just started their blog.  If you are ever in the neighborhood, make a beeline to this place.  It will likely get on your list of favorites.

I will post soon about my next vintage shop in Northern California – stay tuned!
